Job description:
The Nutrition specialist will be responsible for Tdh’s Nutrition programming in Cox Bazar (gap filling) and will be responsible for the overall implementation, technical follow up and day to day management, including HR, finance and logistics, of the project.
He/she will also assess the quality of the project and propose improvements.
He/she will also supervise the setting up of new activities (BSFP and TSFP), on top of OTPs

Duration: 8 weeks (to be extended if necessary)
Location: Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh
Project Management
· To implement and monitor the emergency nutrition project
· To follow up day to day OTP activities
· To ensure that activities are appropriately monitored
· To follow up on the Nutrition situation in Cox’s Bazar, and activities’ impact and propose adjustments of the project strategy if needed
· To forecast and follow up on expenditures related to the project
· To identifiy logistic and admin support needs related to the project and communicate these to the relevant log/admin support person(s)
· To ensure reporting and data management at facility level
· To ensure project reporting and provide all project data for donor reporting
· To Assess the quality of current OTP activities (quality of care) and propose improvements
· To ensure the setting up of new TSFP and BSFP activities
Coordination and representation
· Participates in internal coordination meetings as needed and requested
· Participates in external coordination meetings (Sector meetings, meetings with authorities from the Ministry of Health) and ensures the correct technical coordination with other Tdh activities
· Ensures the correct coordination with the other Project Managers, in the activities related to his area of work
· Ensures the coordination and solves potential overlapping of activities with other organizations and actors in health and/or nutrition sector in Cox’s Bazar
Team Management & Human Resources Management
· To manage OTP staff and assess trainings needs
· To manage and follow Junior nutrition project officer (expat)
· To conduct necessary trainings or identify ways to improve staff competencies
· To ensure overall compliance with the Tdh HR procedures and those of the country (fairness, transparency)
· To participate in the delegation coordination meetings
Security
· Comply with Tdh Security Regulations;
· Ensure Staff safety and inform staff on security rules as defined
· Reports any security/safety incident and/or risk to the emergency coordinator
Profile:
Job requirements
· Degree in Medicine or Nursing or Nutrition
· At least two years of experience in the implementation of Nutrition projects, preferably in humanitarian contexts
· Technical knowledge on CMAM and IYCF, experience in management of OTPs, BSFPs and TSFPs
· Ability to work well and punctually under pressure
· A commitment to excellence; attention to detail

· Able to work under stress, be it because of the exigences of the workload
· Able to manage his/her stress during the implementation of activities

· Able to work in a team, be it in a horizontal (together with the rest of departments, as well as externally with counterparts) or vertical (to the team managed by him/her)
· Excellent communication skills in English. Bangladeshi or French is an asset

· Excellent handling of IT tools, be it generalistic (Windows, Office, etc.) as well specific (EPI-INFO, etc.
